I always wanted the venerable 283. I needed an extra flash I could use to walk abouut and light up time exposures at night. For the price and power, a great deal.

Very solid well made flash. Compared to what I would have paid for the Nikon Speed flash this is a no brainer.
The swivel head alllows you to do some nice portrait work. It also has a powerfull flash for your longer distance shots.
I haven't had it that long but so far I am very pleased.

I find this flash and it had become my companion. Easy to use, the camera handles everything.. perfect for my Nikon D60.
