Purchased unit in 02/07. Unit malfunctioned 05/07 and was replaced but with a refurbished unit. Replacement #1 malfunctioned 09/07, Repl #2 defective out of box, Repl #3 defective out of box, Canon finally decided to replace with a new unit, also provided an extra supply of ink for all the trouble. A better policy would be to replace a new unit with a new unit. Works well when working.

Setup is easy, construction of unit is about par with others, quality of printing no better than HP or others of its class. User guide book can be confusing, unit menu can also be a little (just a little)confusing. I got mine 12/06
