We bought this for our mom in law to view the grand and great grandchildren when she can't be there. It works well but on my computer end the picture was so so. We had tried it first elsewhere and the picture was great so maybe it was the location where she was. However my mother in law is ecstatic about seeing everyone and considers it a miracle so it was well worth the investment which compared to a computer was minimal.She also didn't want to have to figure out how to work a computer and this gadget has minimal buttons to make a mistake with.

I bought this for my mother who has significant dementia. It was fairly easy for me to set up by including the family contacts who have and use skype. I put it in her house and we did a couple of trial calls. She is consistently able to answer calls and hang up at the end and is doing fairly well with being able to make a call. She was never able to get the hang of skype with the laptop I left at her house. This is an unbelievable help for me and other family members. We can check on Mom to make sure she is okay, she is less lonely, and she can keep up with the progress of the great-grandchildren. It is intuitive if you have ever used a cell phone, and the screen is big enough to really see each other well. Thanks Asus for a great product. The voice and video quality beat all of the computers I have used skype on so far. Don't hesitate it try it out. A great deal!

Other than a slightly clunky UI this is a great toy. Buy one for you and one for grandma.

Gave it to my mother in Germany. Stopped sending out video within 2 weeks. Asus would not honor warranty request in Europe. They want 80 Euro just to evalute it.
Its electronic junk now.
