Comments about RCA RCA TH2002 2GB Digital Audio Player with Touch Controls, LCD Display, Flip-out USB PC Connection, Voice Recording, Carrying Clip, AAA Battery:
The nicest thing about this product, compared to other direct USB flash mp3 players that I'd looked at when shopping, is the clip that I used to attach to a belt loop, which made it easy to carry around. Unfortunately, this is about the only thing going for it.
*If you plug it into the computer or replace a battery, you lose your place in a track and it forgets all of your preset favorites, making podcast listening too cumbersome.
*Its awkward shape meant I couldn't use the USB ports in the front of my tower (I used the ones in the back. This wasn't a problem with public computers)
*There's no way to feel for buttons, I ended up sticking a small piece of tape on the play/pause button so I could navigate without having to look. I even bought rhinestones to glue onto it but didn't get the chance to try because...
*Its power button broke suddenly one day (technically before the warranty was up, but I didn't act quickly enough to send it in), making it a flashy and awkardly shaped data storage device. I honestly don't know what could have caused the breakage since it happened after I connected it to a friend's computer and it was not dropped or used in a way contrary to its intended purposes.
