Best bang for the buck. I used them in my D300, SB-600, on two SB-800 and on the SD8A battery pack. These batteries in the SB-800 with SD8A battery pack provide instant flash use. I have never had to wait for the flash to recycle during a 4 hour span. They are cheap and are great to use, that's why I have 80 of them.

Purchased 20 of these about a year ago. Very good value. Have worked well so far with no dead cells or capacity problems that I have noticed. They get used a fair amount and don't sit very long between charges, several weeks at most typically, so I haven't noticed a self discharge issue that affects my useage - multiple speedlights for the most part. They certainly aren't the very low self-discharge version of battery - I use these often enough the extra cost wasn't worth it. It probably helps that I generally use a Maha C-9000 charger that charges cells individually (not as pairs as many do which is less desired if the batteries are not kept, used and charged as pairs - a hassle). Advertised mAH capacity is higher than what the Haha tests them to be but who knows which to believe. (I think I trust the charger a bit more).
Only issue I've had is the batteries are about 14.3mm in diameter vs the more typical 14.0mm for AA. This generally is no big deal, just a tiny 3/10s of a millimeter. But they are noticeably less loose going in and out of things like Nikon SB-800 and SB-600 speedlights or a Minimag flashlight. I find that I have to remove the battery compartment door (easy to do) on the SB-800 to get the top battery out which I don't have to do with any others. The SB-600 and flashlights sometime take a modest tap to dislodge a battery or two from the compartment. I have a Sony battery pack for a small LCD TV monitor that takes 6 AA batteries laying flat side by side and these Lenmars are simply too fat to fit.
Other than the size issue I'd probably buy more 0 hard to beat the price and value. Last dozen I purchased were the 2700 mAh batteries that say Digital Extreme Power on the side. Don't remember the brand label on the package but Adorama carries them. Happy with these since they fit my stuff better.

It's great to have a pile of batteries in your bag to keep your speedlights running fast. (now I need a bigger charger)

Given the prices charged for the same battery in smaller packs, or other similar batteries, the price is incredible. The batteries work well. With the _really_ fast charger available elsewhere in the site, they work particularly well. I suggest marking them as sets (numbers, letters, whatever) and keeping each set to gether in use and charging, and I try to charge them all every month whether I use them or not. Hove only had them for 4 months or so, so no long-term results yet, but so far, they have worked perfectly.

These are very necessary to feed my Speedlite flashes. It is great to have a huge supply of these suckers around for traveling and extended shoots.
