Comments about Sanyo Sanyo eneloop glitter AA Rechargeable NiMH (2000 mAh) Batteries (8 Pack) - Limited Edition:

I used to keep a set of Duracell Alcalines in every bag because while they didn't give a good surge of power, they had great shelf / bag life. These eneloop batteries can stay in the bottom of the bag for at least a year and still outperform new Alcalines. They seem to provide equivalent surge power to NiMH batteries wile not quite as much pop as Lithiums. Still, you can count on them for a year after you pull them from the charger. The addition of these colors is cute but it also fixes a n issue I had on knowing which were my most recently charged. I was marking them with a grease pencil but now I just go by color code like they use on resistors in electronics. OK, I'm a geek and everyone might not know that color code ... Make up your own.
I also use these as backup batteries for my pilot gear.
