I bought packs of these batteries for my Canon CP-E4 and it haven't failed me yet.
I also use these on 3 of my Canon 580EX II and they provide consistent power.
Just use common sense, recharge it when you use it, double charge it also when not used for longer periods of time, just to make sure your charger got the charging levels right.
No big science here, charge it, use it and store it away from cold. Condition your batteries as needed.

Great power and recycling speed for the buck. I have several of these to go in my SB800 and they recycle super quick and last appropriately.
