Comments about Targus Targus AA/AAA 2 Hour Charger with LCD Display, with 4 AA Nickel Metal Hydride 2700 mAh Batteries:
Bought 2 of these - opened one and read the directions - the directions are terrible - part of a page and not very accurate. Put the 4 batteries in to charge - after 2 days didn't think the unit was working - only 1 battery would show a charge, then finally a 2nd battery. Opened the other package and had them both plugged in - after 1 week of having the batteries plugged in and moving them between slots to see if they would show charge, I think they are all charged - although only 7 finally showed complete, the 8th kept flashing like it wasn't done yet.
The descriptionm says 2 hour charger - I wonder if they meant 2 week. For a Targus product I expected a much better unit.

This charger has something most inexpensive chargers don't, an LCD Display. It not only charges but will drain the battery as well to remove the memory effect. Charges in 2 hours or less. Recharging batteries is good for the environment as long as you remember to unplug after you recharge.

Maybe it was just my bad luck, but these batteries never worked right out of the box. I've fully charged twice, but they won't hold a charge at all. Charger works ok, but it's really cheap. Flip up cover will last about 1 minute....
I'd look for another product if I were you.

I like this charger as well as any I've used. It's simple, compact and charges either AA or AAA batteries. You can discharge & charge, or just charge, from one to four batteries at a time and it indicates what is happening with each one separately. No cord to mess with, just fold out the prongs and plug it in. Batteries have lasted VERY well. With other chargers I've used, they didn't seem to last as long as I expected.
I've only had it a short time, so the only thing I can't judge is durability. The plastic cover folds down or comes off entirely; it sometimes comes off when I didn't intend it to, but even if it broke or was lost, I don't see how it would affect the use of the charger.
