I use this monopod for my Grandson's T-Ball game's with my Canon 40D w/Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 Lens.

It helps greatly in holding the camera with less movement, less movement means better pics.

Comments about Giottos Giottos MM-9780 5-section Aluminum Pro Monopod, Suppports 11 lbs:

I've only just begun using this monopod and its also my first. I'm impressed with it overall though. The height it adjusts out to is perfect for me, being i'm over 6 ft tall this was something i was looking for. The bottom clamp takes a little extra to get it to completely lock down on mine. Don't think it'll be much of problem though since i only get it to slip when i pushed down on it with some force, didn't bow though. My camera, D40x, and the lenses i have aren't a problem for this thing either. A good buy for someone without massive lenses and looking for something reasonable.

Comments about Giottos Giottos MM-9780 5-section Aluminum Pro Monopod, Suppports 11 lbs:

I choose this monopod because I am tall and the choices are very limited.

I had this monopod for a year, and since the beginning the link between the tube and the head was loose. Why use a monopod that induce more vibration?

I decided to fix it myself. I pulled the foam and I discovered only 2 screws that link the tube and the head (their axis in a line !!!). I drilled 2 more holes and added 2 more screws. Now it is very stable and usable.

It is a shame that Giottos haven't put these screws themselves. It is not normal that a product needs modification before use.
