Nice monopod except that the only head I could use with it in the Manfrotto #234. I own another brand ballhead and three way pan head both of which I use on my tripod and neither head would fit onto this monopod.

Great for the price. Folds compact. Remember you would need a head. Makes a perfect companion to my Manfroto tabletop tripod since the head is interchangeable.

This monopod is surprisingly good for the price, but I expected quality from Manfrotto - just not this good. It's very stable and strong, the clamps lock securely with no wobble, and the height is ideal. I bought a tilting monopod head to go with it, and I'm good to go. Great for sports.

I carry it with me even when I plan to use a tripod. It can be used for low-light, quick shots when I haven't time for set-ups, overhead shots in large crowds, and for extending speedlights beyond arms length. Obviously, it is not intended for long lens use or heavy loads, but it does well what it is designed for.

I will use it mostly on long trips involving a lot of walking to avoid lugging my heavier and bulkier conventional tripod. One leg of my tripod can be used as a monopod but it is too long to fit in my favorite carry-on suitcase.

Strap could be better -- more like a ski pole's than an afterthought -- but otherwise well constructed. This is a potential begative only is you ALSO use it as a hiking pole, as I do.

Really rigid for size and weight. Very portable. Works well with my Canon 40D and my wife's Kodak digital. Easy to strap to camera case for airline carry on.

Lightweight, and compact when collapsed. I have a feeling that the foot won't last, and I don't know what's underneath it. That said, it hasn't show too much wear yet. The hand strap feels cheap and gets in the way; I'll probably remove it. But for the money, the features and performance are unbeatable.

I use this to get interesting perspectives, esp. on vacation. I use the 2-second timer on my compact camera and hoist the camera into the air to get group shots from above. Shoot over crowds too. I put a tilt/swivel head on mine, so I can change to portrait anytime. The monopod is light enough to hold horizontally in midair for a quick photo. Packs in my standard checked luggage.

When space and weight is an issue, this works great. Not as strong as some of the other monopods, but sufficent.

I have used this monopod for both video and still photography. It helped to eliminate shaking and blurred images. I find it easy to transport in my luggage and lightweight enough for hiking.
