In mere seconds a camera can be leveled and you are ready to shoot either panorams or other shots. The bubble level is completely accurate (as checked by separate levels I put on the camera itself). Together with the L bracket and Novoflex Q plate the camera can be rapidly switched between portrait or landscape views. Extremely smooth panning. Once the locking screw is turned, the base does not move--it is rock solid, even with long time exposures. Cool blue color accents.

The only shortcomings are that the divisions are in 10 degree increments, rather that 5 on some competitor's models and the locking screw obscures the 260 and 270 degree divisions. This is not a major problem with panorams in that one just wants to overlap successive frames by about 30 degrees, but it is a design compromise that is not of the quality of the other product features.
