Over the years I have purchased many tripods and heads. This one was the most novel, expensive, and disappointing. I bought it mainly for panorama and the panning doesn't rotate smoothly, it sticks at one spot regardless of the lock knob position. At this price it should be much better.

Arca-Swiss has literally turned things upside down.
This is the best ball head I have ever used. I bought the 1/4 inch model so I could use my IDesign Qtop quick release on it. It's the perfect combination. I can control all movements (including rotation) with one hand)

I was disappointed by the B0 ball head. The "inverted" design was attractive because I often shoot panoramic image series for stitching. Having the panning action directly under the camera means you don't have to mess around with leveling your tripod. Simply level the ball head and your panning action is level. The B0 is simpler, smaller and lighter than adding a panning clamp to a conventional ball head (which I've done). The problem is, Arca-Swiss left out the spirit level, so you have to use a separate spirit level to benefit from the feature. I use the traditional Arca-type plates, so I bought this version of the B0 and the Arca Flip-Lock clamp kit. I like the Flip-Lock mechanism, but the plate lacks a spirit level. Worse, the mounting bolt in the kit was slightly too long and it scratched the P0's anodized ball surface. Very disappointing.
While I find the main ball tension mechanism reasonably easy to use and strong, the panning action is too stiff, particularly when the head is cold. It's stiff enough that it's difficult to pan in the cold without moving the tripod unintentionally.
Arca should improve the panning action, fix the plate fastening clearance issue, and add a spirit level to the head or at least to the quick release clamps. I'd give that ball head a top rating.
