I use the ballhead for a small dslr and it works great. Used it on a larger manfrotto tripod (055XPRROB) and now I will be using it on a smaller Benro tripod. Very happy with the Giottos ballheads, especially for the price. They look and feel like quality.

I've used this ballhead on quite a few tripods...everything from a Gitzo to their very own Giottos tripods (which are also wonderful creations at a tremendous bargain!).

Like many my first experience with Giottos is with their lens cleaning products, the infamous ROCKET. Now they are really making a name for themselves in the tripod/head business...very impressed with all their products so far. This head is EXTREMELY stable, and for a small DSLR setup it is perfect. The moment you pick it up you will notice the SOLID feel to the head, and the controls are simple to operate and function better than predicted. What a great find, and I'm so glad I took a chance on this head Vs. some of the more higher profile much more expensive heads out there.
