Incredibly light and small for it's max load. I bought it to go on the light weight CF Flash Point tripod I'm expecting to use for travel and treking. It looks to me like it will do the job. I wish it was set up to pan the entire head around a verticle axis and included a quick release. I will try to find a quick release I can add. My other tripod setup weighs about 10 times as much. I'm looking forward to using it.

I attaced it to a monopod for use with a medium weight digital camera. It supports the weight (about 3 lbs.) just fine, with more capacity than necessary. Great value for the price.

Good lightweight ball head. I use it on a jobi slr bendable tripod and it is a good fit. It holds my slr and a mid size lens. I also use it a lot to hold an off camera flash. I kinda wish it had a quick release, Giottos makes a similar ball head with one I just decided to go with the cheaper and more lightweight option and I am pretty content.

Very nice ballhead for the price. I bought this for my monopod. I find it will hold up my Nikon D70 with a Tamron 200-400 at just about every angle. I use it most of the time with a tamron 90mm macro or 50mm sigma macro for flower photos. The only problem so far is the mount plate is rather small and you have to make sure it is very tight, has a tendency to come loose on the 200-400 sometimes.

I had purchased a simple monopod but then realized the need to be able to tilt the head. This solved the problem at an affordable price. Good deal.

Product easily attaches to monopod. The action is very smooth and completely silent. Most importantly, when I lock it in position it stays in that position. Takes very little force to lock it into place. Great product, great value, highly recommend it for any monopod or even lightweight tripod.

I use this with a Nikon D40x and Giottos MM 9780 monopod. Smooth enough ball head and strong enough clamp for monopod use. It could probably be used on a tripod for just a camera and relatively light lens. Ability to pan is nice. Just barely tall enough to allow verticals (it just clears the camera base of the MM9780 monopod). No quick release is understandable for a low cost, small device. Typo: this is a Giottos MH 1304, not 1302.
