Comments about National Geographic National Geographic Expedition Hydrostatic Ball Head with RC2 Rapid Connect Plate:
I found this Nat Geo branded Ball head extremely easy to use and functional. There is only 2 major controls (and a tension control). Only one minor snit ... the rubber gasket that covers the ball and presumably protects it against the elements may not last. Since this is [$]bucks cheaper then the Manfrotto ball head it is a rebranded copy of I have no complaints... very solid and reliable.

I use this for studio lit product work and it IS extremely stable. My only concern is how long the rubber flange/gasket will last as I am prone to rotating the unit from portrait to landscape often which causes the rubber to "kink"
