I use this product on both a mono and a tripod. It's relatively small, easy to transport and operate. The ball clamp is very sensitive which makes it easy to adjust on the fly. I've also used this head in below zero temperatures for extended shoots with no issue. I'm thinking about buying another so I don't have to share between stands.

(Applies to the DQ version of the 320) The thumb lever to secure the shoe portion of the mechanism (attached to the camera) to the Quick Release platform is made of plastic. Mine snapped after less than a year of casual use. This renders the ball head useless until you replace the platform.

Very bonehead choice of materials in an otherwise product. Try one out in person and you'll agree.
