The Trek-Tech Pro is a pleasure to use. The small adaptor that attaches to the camera never gets in the way as some of the other camera plates do. Instantly mounts to the Pro Ball Head. Controls are easy to use and adjust. My 300mm lens stays put where I point it. Vary steady.

so far so good, nice design and it has a small camera adapter that way it doesn't get in the way when placing it in a tight camera bag like a lot of quick release heads have.

The connection between the base and ball-head looks large but hides a small post, which cannot take much lateral tension at all. Accidentally twisted to the side and the head snapped right off! I have one that a friend bought for me and that one I am super careful with.

The use of any tripod or monopod almost demands a ball head for maximum convenience. The TrekPod is designed for "light" use while hiking, etc. so that has to be taken into account; the system will not steady your gear in the wind. I often leave the ball head a bit loose so I can move my D40 freely in all directions, but still have the Pod carry the weight. This can be a big help with wildlife and some sports events.

This product is such an improvement over my previous set-up. I could tell the quality immediately. Attaching and detaching my camera is now so very quick and easy. I should have made this investment a long time ago . . . I didn't know what I was missing. I would highly recommend this product.
