If you are a all around photographer who does everything from long night exposures to quick moving sports and wildlife fields of photography this is the tripod / Mono pod for you.
I use this sucker everyday and the ability to have a Mono Pod instantly without having to carry A single tripod and A single Mono Pod, works great for me. I love the easy tighten quick release head that both grips and holds the camera tight. I use a Nikon D300 with battery pack and long 70-300mm lens and this tripod mono pod handles it well. I love that the mono pod is part of the tripod and I can instantly take the mono pod part and run off to photography a wild bird, duck, or even deer with out having to worry about leveling all 3 legs and the stability it offers is amazing. I do make great use of this excellent Tripod mono pod combo and would encourage any real photographer to get one.

Good tripod. Useful monopod. Good quick release. But no bubble level as I read somewhere.
