Comments about Giottos Giottos 3-Section Camera Tripod with 3 Way Pan / Tilt Head & Quick Release:

I purchased this tripod for my daughter to use with her Nikon D40 and lightweight lenses. I should have known better, I've been down this route before.

The tripod does not seem to be stable enoght to hold a camera larger than a point and shoot unless you add a bag of rocks to the hook on the bottom of the center column.

The legs twist easily, the leg locks seem flimsy and the quick release is made of plastic. Plastic, and low quality plastic at that, make up much of this tripod.

I would return it, but instead I ordered her a better, more expensive tripod. I will use this one to hold reflectors, flashes, and small lights.
