I got this tripod for back packing and hunting. I put a 2.5 lb. spotting scope on it and was perfect. It folds very short and is very light and way cheaper than carbon fiber. I'll use it for camera shots also. Perfect for my application and I'm very picky but practical.[...] Oh, by the way, I just turned 60 and I've seen junk in my life and this is not junk.
