Exactly what I was looking for! I have a full size tripod as well as a monopod but more often than not they stay home. I really needed something lightweight and compact that could be carried in a pocket and setup quickly. This is it!

Thanks!!

Comments about Sunpak Sunpak 2002 Pocket Tripod - 2 Section:

I don't expect much from inexpensive table top tripods. I use them for casual pictures that requires QUICK convenient setup for stability or using the timer. My cameras are a canon a460 (medium to small digital camera) and a canon a560 (medium to large digital camera) with an off center tripod mount. This tripod is a little unstable with the A560 due to the off center tripod mount on the camera, but it works well with proper leg placement or with the legs fully extended.

The only con I have is with the head attachment to the camera. To attach the tripod to the camera I either have to turn the entire tripod or loosen the ball adjustment and turn the ball head with the stop. The stop that the camera rests on is loosely threaded onto the same threads that the camera attaches to so when I turn that stop it unscrews from the head. I solved that problem with a drop of crazy glue on the threads and then tightening the stop to the ball side of the head. I purchased 2 of these tripods, they both needed this quick fix.

This tripod is designed simply and well. Constructed of steel and some alloy die-cast materials (it's a little heavy for the size, that's ok though), simple to use and small.

For the price, this is a good value.
