Comments about Targus Targus 58" Aluminum Tripod with Three-Way Panhead and Bubble Level, 5 lb. Load Capacity.:

I picked one up at a local department store for an upcoming trip. Out of the box, looks great, and seems like it will be stable enough for this use. It is, however, a cheap tripod. But in this case thats ok. That's what I got it for. I wanted one I could travel with and not worry if it got bumped, or dinged durring hiking/cave dives.

But with a 5lb capacity...gonna need to watch what lens I use, or find a way to secure it in windy situations.

The bag it comes in is very small, and you really have to force it in there.
The tripod is pretty good, I got exactly what I expected--an all around decent tripod. It wasn't too expensive, and for the price it is something that I feel ok with banging it up a little bit. It's good for hiking and taking some nice HDR photos with, but if you're looking for something on the higher end, try something else.
