Great quality for the price. Was given a 5 year warranty when I reg. the product. Very nice travel bag that came with it, however!,....it did not fit with my ballhead mounted on it...

Comments about Benro Benro A-297M8 A-Series HVC Aluminum Flexpod, Maximum Height 72", Supports 22 lbs (10 kg):

The tilting center column is helpful for getting shots in crowded flower beds or other areas where ideal positioning of the tripod isn't possible. The variable spread of the legs allows for low angles. And the column also inverts to enable true ground level views.

On the other end, the full 6' height is a luxury when it's needed.

The A-297M8 is nicely finished and feels solid and well made. It's also fully equipped with a soft case, shoulder strap and tool kit.

To the Benro legs I added a Slik SH-706 head. I prefer pan / tilt heads and didn't want a quick release plate. The SH-706 isn't super smooth, but it's a good value.

By the way, all the product descriptions I saw before buying indicated a one year warranty. But, after I registered my tripod with Benro, the warranty was extended to "5 total years coverage."

Comments about Benro Benro A-297M8 A-Series HVC Aluminum Flexpod, Maximum Height 72", Supports 22 lbs (10 kg):

BENRO A-297M8 A-Series HVC Aluminum Flexpod includes a Vertical-Horizontal column that can be quickly set to either position. The angle and position of the adjustable center-column can be locked into place with a single twist of the center-column setknob. This provides ability to position the camera where you want specially for Product and Macro Photography.

The Height and Load relation to the actual price are among the best, 72.7 in (1847 mm) and 22 lbs (10 kg). This is an aluminum tripod but to get a lighter tripod with similar specifications you would have to spend close to twice.

The Ballhead I ordered for this tripod is a SMITH VICTOR BH8 with Quick Release Plate included and a Load Capacity of 40 lbs (18.1436 Kg). This Ballhead is the best at the lowest price.
