Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 055CX3 Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs, 3 Section Legs, Maximum Height 69.7", Supports 17 lbs.:
Stable, sturdy and a very good value for the money! I compared this tripod to the Gitzo GT2531 in person (given their similar features), and found them to both be about equally as stable and well made. The Manfrotto, however costs a lot less and only weighs a little bit more!
Put a one pound ballhead on these legs, and you've got a great portable setup that weighs less than five pounds all together.
The leg sections move in and out quickly, and it's very fast to get setup and adjust the legs in both their angle and their height.
Also, the leg extension clamps on the Manfrotto function in a way that is very similar to a quick-release lever on a bicycle or a tripod head. The tension on each quick release is adjustable with an included wrench, which conveniently clips onto one of the tripod legs. Neat!

Had been using an aluminium tripod for 20 years, this tripod far exceeds my expectations, particularly with the head I chose.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 055CX3 Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs, 3 Section Legs, Maximum Height 69.7", Supports 17 lbs.:
These legs are in the middle range from cheap to really expensive. But I found these to be a great substitute to $700-900 dollar legs. These legs are very lightweight, fold/unfold fast and easy, offer great stability. I love them. Buy a good head and you are set. No cons on these legs...

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 055CX3 Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs, 3 Section Legs, Maximum Height 69.7", Supports 17 lbs.:
This is a excellent tripod and I am happy I purchased it. It is light, the Carbon Fiber is very good quality, the diameter of the legs is good, and therefore with good stability. The only improvements I would suggest are for the center column that should be also in CF and not in Aluminum, and the rubber feet, that could incorporate spikes. It is excellent also for tall people. I am 6'4" and have no problems.
