I've owned this for 6 months now and have carried it with me hiking in Zion NP and other southwest parks(a little heavier than I'd like, but tolerable). I've had countless shots where I've needed to set up quickly and shoot, and this is very easy to get stable and level. I'm very pleased with it, though it does get a little unstable extended to full height in wind. I added the 804RC2 head and I'm very happy with the combination

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190XB 3 Section Black Aluminum Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57", Maximum Load 11 lbs):

Solid construction, very stable, good height range, easy to change legs angle and height. It's kinda heavy, but otherwise it wouldn't be so stable.

I purchased these legs for my daughter to use with her Nikon D40. We topped it off with a Manfrotto 391RC2 Pan & Tilt Head.

The result is a stable and simple platform that accomplishes everything she needs done. The unit collapses easily, sets up quickly, and is light enough for her to carry.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190XB 3 Section Black Aluminum Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57", Maximum Load 11 lbs):

Works as described, although heavier cameras will have some shake when the center shaft is fully extended. If you need over 5 feet consistently in height, I would get the 055 instead.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190XB 3 Section Black Aluminum Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57", Maximum Load 11 lbs):

I have yet to utilize the many ways this tripod can be used, I.E., macro, night shots, telephoto, etc. For the photo gear used, can't be beat. I also like the leg warmers already on this tripod, saved myself money not having to buy them as an accessory. Use the 3265 head for ease of composition, very quick. Getting that fleeting image captured is very important to me and knowing that I don't have to spend alot of time for equipment setup is great. Purchased a bag and tripod feet 3255, also from Bogen.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190XB 3 Section Black Aluminum Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57", Maximum Load 11 lbs):

Compared to my previous tripods, this one is certainly the best investment. I was particularly impressed when I used it under windy conditions in the Grand Canyon. I didn't think much of it initially, but when I saw other photographers next to me weighing down their tripod or having trouble keeping theirs still - I was quite happy that I had made this purchase :)
Even though it is heavier that what I was used to, it is certainly worth it!!

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190XB 3 Section Black Aluminum Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57", Maximum Load 11 lbs):

This is a great tripod for photographing outdoors. I use this tripod with a Bogen-Manfrotto Compact 486RC-2 head, and it provides great support for my camera and lenses. I don't have many heavy lenses, but this works well with my Canon XTi and 24-105mm F/4 L canon lens for photographing waterfalls. I wish it came with a little carrying bag, but it is still a great tripod for the money.
