I resisted a tripod for a long time as I was not doing photography that required one. This tripod was highly recommended to me and I'll certainly recommend it to others. It's easy to setup and light enough to transport along with my other gear.

This is the best bang for the buck for a beginner's tripod. It feels very sturdy when in use. Not too heavy but it's pretty light for aluminum (vs $$$ for carbon fiber) Couldn't be happier!

Great tripod for the money. It's solidly built, extremely flexible and stable. My only (very, very minor) concern is that it's a bit heavy - but then again, stability requires some weight!
Perfect tripod for a small(ish) price.
