Comments about Giottos Giottos MT-9180 4-Section Universal Tripod Legs, Black Aluminum (Supports up to 26 lbs):

I've had the tripod for several months now and it has worked well for all of the locations I've used it.

I've been very happy with the adjustability of the tripod. You can use it low to the ground, or at eye level. WIth the multi-angle legs, you can even set it up on a staircase.

The removable center column lets you position the head horizontally which is gantastic for macro work since you can easily fine tune the position of the head without restriction.

The only slight problem I have had is that one of the thumb screws for the legs will occassionally not engage fully so the leg can slip. You just need to make sure not to overtighten them and everything works fine.

For the money, this works perfectly for all of my needs. If I wanted to spend more, the carbon fiber would have been worth it though.
