Comments about Induro Induro C014 Carbon 8X C-Series Tripod Leg Set, Extends to 55.21", Supports 8.8 lbs,:

I got this for when I go hiking and bicycling. The set up speed is ok, considering its ring lock.
Ill admit I have no experience with a truly high end pod like a comparable Gitzo, however I am glad I bought this, its well made, and seem qualityish.

I am no perfectionist, so those who want rock solid support in windy conditions, should look for something heavier/more expensive, but I don't think anything can beat this for portability / price.

Importantly, I want to add that this is probably best for lighter systems. I use a D40 with no more than a 200mm (non 2.8) lens. Also, I use a bogen mini-ball on it. Anything larger, even the midi-ball, and the weight and size becomes an issue again - the footprint of the midi is larger than the head base of this tripod.

That said, I have used this with the miniball to take panoramic shots with a vertically set up pano head and it was "good enough" i.e. there was some give but the end result of the image was excellent.

2 more things: The head lacks screw holes to fasten the head on. Also you need to register to get the 5 year warranty.
