The photo makes the adapters look like they might be stamped or machine pressed metal. These are very good quality machine threaded adapters. Also with a slot for a flat blade screwdriver to tighten into your ballhead or other device.
I used these to convert a 1/4x20 monopod to a ballhead with female 3/8 thread. Works as you would expect.
