Although you will find on many sites that this column is recommended for the CX tripod series. Per Bogen "The 445CCS is not recommended for use with the CX series tripods. The right angle adapter, order code 553 is better suited for low angle work on the CX series tripods."
I'm now stuck with an unusable column. 3 of us tried recently and it doesn't fit the 055CXPro tripod that I own.
