Comments about Acratech Acratech Leveling Base, Fits All Standard 3/8-16 Tripod Heads:
I was in need of an easy leveling device after fumbling with my tripod and a spirit level to get the tripod head horizontal, which was time consuming. This device is for me the best choice I could find on the market; it is easy to mount, easy to adjust and to trust. I can’t do without it anymore.
Be careful not to loosen the main knob more than a fraction of a turn from firmly tight to be able to control the friction between jaw and ball head when adjusting the leveling base.

I bought this to put under my gimbal head so I could nice level shots when on unlevel ground. It's very well made and very light weight. I plan on buying another one and a ball head from Acratech.
