Comments about Lenscoat Lenscoat 3 Axis Hot Shoe Bubble Level:

Truly a 3-bubble level. Fits nice and tight (bit of a struggle to get it out, but I would rather it be tight than loose). I will not store the camera with it on as it might distort the hot shoe a bit.

Have not yet used it in the field - this weekend. However, when I checked it against the levels on the tripod and the QR plate, none of them agreed. So, I tested it against a plumb line and it appears to be right on the money in either orientation as well as front/back. Even got it in agreement with the level on the QR plate, as there seems to be some bit of give/take while still staying level. Given some of the reviews of other similar levels that were reported to be off, I would test any of them against a plumb line to see if they are off and if so, by how much, prior to field use.

Given that there are 3 levels, they sometimes get in each other's way. You can play with the directionality of the mount, but it is generally very usable and visible regardless.

Overall, very impressed and looking forward to keeping my horizons perfectly level to avoid having to straighten in PS (losing some detail and definition in the process).

I'll give it a 5 since I am pretty sure it will work well in the field, given that the garage tests are bang on.
