I used this camera to do some pic's and movies while scuba diving and snorkeling in the caribbean. The only drawback is you really must be still and in the right settings to get a great shot. The filming underwater was excellent.. after I figured out how to do so.... read the manual and try things on land first. You can't really do movies properly after getting on land from the water unless it is out of the housing follow the details with use and it works great.

Highly recommended for the price! For serious photography get the external flash for excellent lighting.
