We snorkel, and worked well for that, both underwater and on land at the shore. Best if used with photoshop or similar, to do a color balance.

I was very impressed with the sturdy housing design and materials (PC).

Works best with NiMH batteries (roughly 60 pictures per charge). Use regular batteries for cold temperatures (e.g. skiing). Very thin design great for white water rafting, skiing, etc.
