Comments about Canon Canon AW-DC50 All Weather Housing for Powershot SD450 (Waterproof to 9.8'):

The concept is fine and it appears well engineered. Whoever owns the sd-450 camera will not likely need it below 10 feet - excellent for pool and snorkeling.

Now the bad. The o-ring will stretch and be unusable (despite following instructions) after about 5 uses. There are no replacements available.

Comments about Canon Canon AW-DC50 All Weather Housing for Powershot SD450 (Waterproof to 9.8'):

I used this cover to photograph the rays at Sting Ray City and it was great! The boat ride had alot of rough water and sea spray and it worked well for that too. My mistake was to not use it on the beach to keep out the sand and thus have to pay for repairs from sand damage after vacation.

I thought that it was easy to use... easy to figure out. i would say that if you're addicting to taking pictures like i am, and you live in a place that allows you to take underwater photos or even take your camera into the snow without having the fear of it getting ruined (the camera, not the snow), i would recommend getting it. although the price can make you cringe for a piece of plastic... you get your moneys worth. i mean protecting your camera with a $100 piece is better than having to replace your camera... which is like what $300 dollars or so.
