The combination of this housing, with the Canon A570 is the best available underwater point and shoot combination ever made by canon. It has a great lens, accepts Inon close-up, wide angle, and fish eye lenses, has full manual control, and can also produce RAW pictures with the appropriate software.

Used the case for snorkeling and kayaking. Great the 1st time I used it, but it almost ruined the camera the second time. You are better off buying a camera ready for underwater use. There is no warranty for the case even though it costs just as much as the camera. Don't count on the people from Adorama for any help either. Just got hung up on by one of their customer reps trying to explain my situation. Adorama so far has not been helpful in resolving the situation. I would not only NOT recommend this product, but I also don't recommend Adorama for purchasing any camera products!!!!!

WP-DC12 case does not work with Canon A 590 IS as stated in this add.

I use the housing and A570 IS for shallow diving while snorkeling. Controls are easy to use, and all camera functions are available.
