I bought this to protect my Cannon S3-IS from blowing dessert sand. Also hoped to use it for water protection when paddling bayous. I feel it is a tight seal. It might be easier to position a SLR than a point and shoot. It's difficult to click the shutter button and change settings due to the stiffness of the vinyl. This kind of product is needed but I'm disappointed in this one. Don't laugh, but the elastic from a lense cap holder and a clear plastic shopping bag worked for blowing sand.
