Comments about Ikelite Ikelite Underwater Camera Housing with E-TTL for the Canon Digital EOS 5D Camera, Clear Molded:
Not sure what the previous person experienced but it sounds like he had a completely different product. (flip up white balance? Not on this housing)
I've used my 5d housing daily for the last 2 years and I must have put over a 1000 dives on the housing. I haven't had a single leak. The only maintenance I do is grease the control rods and main o-ring a little every month or so. I like that the housing is clear so you can see if it's sealed.
I think the rubber knobs that touch the camera dials could be better since they tend to slip a bit.
I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

This is my 3rd DSLR from Ikelite, I use it as a backup.The last 2 housings all had problems with slow leaks from controls. I had to call of a number of dives half way through due to water in the housing. There is no other warning of moisture in the housing except from looking into it during the dive.My latest housing is for the 5D and it turned out the be a JOKE!!.. Thanks Ikelite /[...].I am in East Africa and sending it back home this year is not an option. So I have not used it.The WB control will not line up so I do not have full use of the housing.What a waste of time.[...] know that they are cheap and I have had a lot of good dives on Ikelite housings. You get what you pay for.!![...].There goes another thousand bucks on substandard dive gear retailers/manufacturers.
