I was in need for a mid-range good quality zoom lens and got this one as the Canon was not in stock at the time and picture samples looked fine. I was deeply disappointed during my testing when I found so very few keepers. Most of the pictures, although at less than full resolution looked fine, they were awfully soft when viewed at full resolution. I compared this lens to my 24-205 F4 L canon and the difference is night and day. It is nice that it comes with accessories but it really does not cut it as a dependable lens. I will contact Sigma to try and determine if I got a "b" stock item but I foresee me posting this on e-bay and getting the canon instead.
Again, you get what you pay for.
