Works great for recording audio for video lectures. I use the 20ft attached cable to connect to camcorder using a mono to stereo adapter.

I run a home based video production company and these little AT mics are nice for the price. I use mine in conjunction with one of my smaller cameras, a little three chip Panasonic and the results are satisfactory. Better than onboard camer mic sound.
A minor problem is the absent power LED. These mics require a small watch type battery to run and if you leave the switch on the battery will drain. Don't forget to check your switch!

The on-camera mic sounded "off mic" from only ten feet away.
This lavalier mic fixed my problem and it's simple to use.
