Comments about Azden Azden SGM-1X XLR 2 Barrell Shotgun Microphone:

I am shocked nobody wrote a review for it as other websites have so many user reviews for this product. i own a sony sr11 and wanted to buy this mic to improve the dialogues audio in my short films. it really works great and records the vocals and some of surrounding sound a lot more clear. some people complain about the mic being too long and shows up in the cam view but i just reversed the shockmount and it didn't showed up at all even with the wide angle lens attached. i use hosa xlr to mini 3.5 cable with this mic. i would recommend this to anyone looking for a shotgun mic in this price range. some people may think rode videomic would be better but rode videomic produces a lot bassy sound and seems unnatural. so u r better off with the azden. its constructed well and have xlr output so can have the boom pole features as well.
