Comments about N R G NRG SA-568 Dual-Mode Shotgun Microphone with Accessory Kit.:

It honestly doesn't get any better for the price. Stay in "Normal" mode, run it with a decent cable into decent gear and and you've got clean clear audio all day long. I'm a indy film maker and have spent more time in the audio world than video, so I don't mess around when it comes to good audio, and this little guy is totally worth [$]. With all the accessories it comes with and the quality build, it's a no brainer. Get a good volume and just let it do it's job. Depending on what final tone your looking for you might need a little EQ and if your picky like me, take a small high-end cut if you get room hiss. Realize that you have to have a clean audio environment to get clean audio, and one AA battery lasts for days. The only cons I have is that the case looks tough in the pic but it's not...it works, but it's cheap. And if your booming with this mic, don't use the stand adaptor get a cheap shock mount, you'll have to anyway, shotguns are just sensitive. I want another one just because!

I like the case that is came in. It works just fine for the price. It come with all connection to plug to you camera. You only need to add a boom pole a better windscreen and a long XLR. It's a good back up mic or interview mic.

Comments about N R G NRG SA-568 Dual-Mode Shotgun Microphone with Accessory Kit.:

I was amazed that something so inexpensive could sound so good. The frequency response is a little lacking, but overall it is a great sounding mic. The batteries last all day without replacement so it's not too much of a pain to deal with. It's really a great mic for someone with a limited budget.
