I am not usually convinced that going with the brand name guaranties the value, but in this case it does. I checked out cheaper, generic HDMI cables and found them to be constructed sloppily and having really soft pins. Beware of generic knock-off brands. I use this cable with my Canon T2i to view my photos and high-def video on a 55" screen and all I can say is WOW!

After buying my 5D Mark II , Started shooting HD video w/ my DSLR . Canon gives you a composite video cable w/ your camera , but it does you video NO justice.This cable is the BEST in Quality for watching your 1080 video on HD TV !!!
