It looked a little small and "cheap" when I first removed it from the box. After I put it on the camera I decided it was great. For the money it is far better than the little led light that comes on the camera and makes for much better quality indoor and lowlight shots. After being on the camera I have decided that it is a great size because it is small and out of the way. Less likely to get bumped and broken. I have not noticed that it wears down the camera's battery very fast either.

I have used the VL-3 on all three of my GL-2 cameras for 2-3 years. I never take them off. It is just enough fill light for dim lit areas.The only thing that gave me a problem on two of them, after 2 years of service, my audio on my GL-2 would cut in and out. After sending my cameras in for service with no fix, I stumbled across the problem was the switch on the VL-3 somehow when turned on, would interfere with the audio. [...]
