I primarily use my Canon Vixia HF20 for outdoor video. That being said this lens is perhaps the best quality wide angle lens that I've ever owned. The range of view is almost doubled. There is also no loss of focus when zooming in or out and no black corners in the video. The one thing I wish this lens had was the capability to attach filters to it. Since I use this lens to video tape hunting shows I was somewhat turned of by it silver-ish appearance online, but when I received the lens it was actually a darker mat grey color. Bright, shiny objects are a problem when filming wildlife as it becomes an attention grabber.

A MUST for indoor filming. Surprising that my Canon HF100 lens wasn't wider from the factory. This is a must in my opinion. Great for close ups of kids where you can interact with them at the same time and great for landscape or video of interiors while vacationing. :) Highly recommended. Excellent heavy duty construction and great lens coatings.

I use the lens with my Canon Vixia HF-11. It fits perfectly and works beautifully. The lens thread is made out of plastic and can be easily stripped and damaged if not handled with care. That's why I gave it a 4 star rating (instead of 5).
