I found that the coverage is good for a bit less than 10' and can squeeze in four people if posed properly. AAA batteries last a couple of hours, so keep fresh spares handy; I use rechargeables just fine. It's a nice companion to my Sony Z1U with no extra cables, shadows, or impediments noticed, even when using my long-range shotgun mic. Definitely worth the money and hope a vario will be available soon, even though Iris/SS changes do the job quite well.
