I purchased the lense to increase the zoom capability of my camcorder at longer distances. I have a Panasonic HDC-HS300. Optical zoom is up to 12x. When researching lenses, the Raynox chart indicated some vignetting so I expected that. In using the lense the lowest power setting where no noticable vignetting is visible is 6x and higher. This makes it difficult if the subject get closer. I'm videoing between 100 and 300 yards. The lense does well when camera is at 6x to 12x.
