we use these deckes as transfer points between our
non-linear editors and the outside world. We can
capture from tape and output to DVD and to our
server simultaneously. The capability of burning
DVD's direct from tape or storing the tape content
on hard drive is also valuable.
There is a dark side: we've only had these a week
and haven't yet learned how to remove the screen
data when starting to record.
