This light is perfect for quick setups for fast interviews on the fly. I like the idea that it uses AA batteries which are readily available everywhere instead of an expensive "specialized battery" that requires a special charger.
I recently bought 2 new batteries for my previous on-camera light only to find out that they were not compatible with the charger.

I use this to back light in macro shooting and the adjustible brightness works extremly well.

If you add a sheet of scrim, it provides a good fill light for video projects, the batteries last a long time, doesn't get hot. I added some Velcro to the back in order to put it exactly where needed. The price is pretty high but I've been satisfied with the 2 I bought.

This light didn't have near the power that I thought it would. If your subject is beyond 5 ft, then forget about it.
Comments about Litepanels Litepanels "Micro" On-Camera Dimmable 5600K LED Video Light:
I bought this light so I wouldn't have to carry around those heavy gel batteries.
I have to say that the performance is pretty good, and the light looks very professional when mounted on the camera. The supplied color correction and difuse filters do the job but obviously take some of the light power.
The only bad thing about it is that it is a bit pricy for what it is, manufacturing this thing must be very cheap, as it is made of fragile plastic, but even though it is pricy, it is definitively more affordable than any other led camera light with this light power, so it is a no brainer, if you are looking for something practical, light weight and that fits a professional use, this is the light.

Comments about Litepanels Litepanels "Micro" On-Camera Dimmable 5600K LED Video Light:
I purchased this for still photography when I need a bit more light, but don't want to kill my subjects with flash. It is easy to adjust the amount of light needed with the turn of a knob. It is very compact and lightweight, so it easily fits in my bag. It is a bit expensive for the limited use, but I have found that it made shots for me in low light (ie. restaurants/bars) where I could not get them before. In the photo below, you will see that the light in the bar was a bit dim. I put the light panel to the right to highlight the side of my glass of rum punch.
Highlight in low light

Comments about Litepanels Litepanels "Micro" On-Camera Dimmable 5600K LED Video Light:
First, [$]for about $25 worth of parts is quite a markup but that's the video world. It's a lightweight source of even, balanced light, especially with the diffusion. It's great for fill and eye light, balanced for daylight. The flip down gel panel is nice but flimsy. The whole thing is flimsy but it does what it does well. The dimmer is nice. I tilts but I wish it would pan since I rarely have my subject centered.
