Comments about Ikan Ikan AC106S Sony Battery Adapter for the V2500, V7000, V9000, V8000W, V8000T & PT1000 TFT LCD Monitors.:

First off, I'm not saying "dont buy this." You pretty much HAVE to buy this if you need to power an ikan monitor in the field. I'm just writing to explain why I think this thing is WORTHLESS and ikan should seriously redesign it. First off, the power cord is TINY. It can just barely reach around from my monitor to the accessory pod on an XL-2 and seriously limits some mobility. After about 1 week, the on/off switch broke. Fortunately it broke in such a way that it was "always on" but now, a few weeks later, the whole unit just completely stopped working. I opened it up and can't find why it stopped working but the internal components are ridiculously simple. I can't believe they're asking for [...] for this thing. If they didn't have a monopoly here, I would imagine paying no more than $9.99 for something as basic as this... and given how cheaply made and unreliable it is.. they should be paying ME to use it.
